Rachel Waterhouse focuses her mediation skills on the areas in which she has vast experience, primarily employment issues, commercial litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice and other torts. She is a Supreme Court Rule 31 listed attorney.

She worked with the U.S. Attorney's Office for eight years in the Civil Division, serving for a time as Civil Chief. Rachel was honored for her work as a litigator on behalf of the United States. She was selected as an evaluator to serve on teams evaluating and reviewing U.S. Attorney's Offices throughout the country, and she served as the District's Health Care Fraud Coordinator. Prior to that, she worked with the State Attorney General's Office in the Civil Litigation Division and in private practice, handling employment and commercial matters in both arenas.

After departing from the U.S. Attorney's Office, she worked with Counsel on Call, Inc. as a contract attorney assisting with research, litigation and employment matters for firms in Atlanta and Nashville, including Waller, Lansden, Dortch & Davis, LLC, in the labor and employment group and then briefly for Branham & Day.

Rachel graduated cum laude from Stetson University College of Law in 1988. After graduating, she worked as a law clerk for Honorable Thomas A. Higgins, United States District Judge for the Middle District of Tennessee.

Rachel is licensed to practice law in both Tennessee and Florida. She has served as past President of the Federal Bar Association, Nashville Chapter, and past chair of the Nashville Bar Association's Federal Courts Committee. She is a Member of the American, Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations, Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women, and the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators. Rachel is also a leader in church and community activities.

She is married to James Selleh and they have three children. Rachel enjoys running, travel, theater, and SEC football.
